So, I’m apparently in the market for building my own dip bars—because apparently paying money for gym equipment is so 2022. Has anyone successfully constructed a pair of homemade dip bars that don’t spontaneously collapse when you attempt a rep? I’m thinking something along the lines of “DIY or Die” style, using nothing but household scrap and unbridled optimism. I’d imagine that my amateur attempt might end up looking like a sad seesaw set at a low budget carnival. Any tips, tricks, or cautionary tales before I accidentally demote my body weight to demolition project material?
